Prof. Musa Khan, speaking on "Public Diplomacy through Screen: Influence of Korean Dramas in South Asian Region," talked about how Korean dramas are perceived and what influences they are having in the South Asian region like India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Amos Farooqi, speaking on "Displacement and Manifestations of Localism within Korean Hip-hop," talked about how the Korean hip-hop genre is related to the region and how localism is expressed in Korean hip-hop music.
The colloquiums drew many researchers and graduate students, who shared their opinions. The Division of International Support for Korean Studies will continue to organize events to promote communication among local and foreign researchers.
