Overseas meetings are designed to introduce the Understanding Korea Project by visiting government departments and agencies that have influence over education and textbook policies as well as major publishing companies and research institutions. These meetings also provide an opportunity to survey the cultural environment of each country and build a network for cooperation. Requests to improve Korean-related textbook material in visited countries are made after the contents are analyzed, and information produced by the Understanding Korea project is provided to assist with improving textbooks around the world.
