Introduction

Infokorea is a magazine that introduces Korea to readers overseas, including teachers, textbook developers and other educators. The magazine offers the latest statistics on South Korea, in general and in the field of education (“An Understanding of Korean Middle and High Schools” in the 2014 issue), that can be used as a reference source for textbook writers and editors, as well as supportive reading materials for classroom. In addition, the magazine has articles that focus on Korean culture, society and history. The theme of the 2014 issue was Korean traditional music, and it had two articles “An Invitation to Gugak, Traditional Korean Music” and “A Brief Glance at the Aesthetic World of Traditional Korean Music.”
