Reciprocity에 대한 인류학/사회학의 고전적 연구를 받아들이면서도 현대 한국사회의 다양한 실천을 해석해보고자 한다. 연구 주제를 'reciprocity의 사회적 실천'으로 대상을 설정하여 디양한 실천들을 이론적으로 분석함으로써 reciprocity에 대한 실천적, 이론적 이해의 푹을 넓히고 이론과 실천의 간격을 좁혀보고자 한다. 이를 위해 관련 분야의 다양한 전문가들을 초청하여 현대 한국에서의 사회적 경제 실천 사례들을 논의했다. 이를 바탕으로 이 과목의 성과를 수강생들이 학기말 연구논문을 작성하도록 하여 학생들의 연구참여를 유도했다. 또한 전문가들의 조언을 받아 고전적

reciprocity 연구들을 엄선하여 한국어로 번역하여 출간하는 작업을 진행하여 해당 논문들의 판권을 교섭 중이며, 이 번역물들이 출판되면 reciprocity의 이론적 연구의 발전에도 기여할 것이다.

이 교과목에서 대학원 수업의 틀을 이용하여 Homo reciprocans( 호혜적 인간)의 역사를 학습하고, Homo reciprocans의 활동을 뒷받침하는 reciprocity의 개념과 사회적 실천에 대한 연구를 병행하였다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 주제들을 중심으로 전문가 특강, 강독, 토론 등을 진행했다. 공유자원, 이타주의, commoning, 제3의 공간, 협동조합, 사회적 기업, 조직간의 협동(intercooperation, 식품주권(food sovereignty), 윤리적 소비(ethical consumption), 조직간의 경쟁과 협동 등이다.

수강생 각자의 학술논문으로 생산하도록 함으로써 학생들의 연구 참여를 실질적으로 활성화하였다. 학생들의 적극적 참여를 활성화하기 위해 online 수업 카페를 운영하여 강의실 밖에서도 교수와 학생, 또 학생 상호간의 토론을 전개하였고, 워크숍, 현장답사, 결과발표회 등을 진행하였다.

본 대학원에서‘연구-교육 연계’ 과제로서 진행된 본 과제는 인간 사회의 핵심 요소인 협동 행위에 관해 조직사회학을 중심으로 역사학, 인류학, 철학, 경제학 등 다양한 이론적 자산을 탐독하고 공부하였으며, 동시에 수강생들의 다양한 관심 주제들 속에서 구체적인 연구를 진행하였다. 성과는 학생들의 연구논문 초고 6편, 영어 및 불어권 reciprocity 분야의 고전적 연구논문 번역 11편 등이다. 번역문은 판권교섭을 마치면 출판할 계획이다. 학생들의 적극적 참여를 활성화하기 위해 online 수업 카페를 운영하여 강의실 밖에서도 교수와 학생, 또 학생 상호간의 토론을 전개하였고, 워크숍, 현장답사, 결과발표회 등을 통해 연구-교육 연계 과제의 성과를 제고하였다.

본 과제는 한국학중앙연구원 한국학대학원의 수업으로서 개설되었으며, 동시에 학생들의 개별연구관심을 반영하고 연구 참여를 장려하는 [연구-교육 연계] 과제로 진행되었다.

본 과제의 수행을 위해 다양한 영역의 전문가들을 초빙해 특강을 진행하였고, Reciprocity 의 사회적 실천 하나의 사례로 느티나무도서관이라는 동네 도서관을 답사하여 사회적 인프라 또는 제3의공간으로서 도서관의 역할을 관찰하였다.

전문가 초청 특강 8회 , 워크숍 1회, 논문지도를 위한 발표회 및 개별지도(계획, 중간) 3회를 진행하였다. 전문가 초청 특강 내용은 그 다음과 같다. ① 아프리카 커피에 대한 이해와 생활상, 커피와 공정무역(Beaniam Hong) ② 새뮤얼 보울스의 [협력하는 종 – 경쟁하는 인간에서 협력하는 인간이 되기까지] 진화게임이론으로 설명하는 인간의 협력적 진화 (전용범) ③ 한국 역사 속의 Reciprocity (박종천) ④ 도서관: 시민이 탄생하는 제3의 공간 (박영숙), ⑤ 협동조합과 윤리적 가치 (김형미), ⑥ 협동조합 관련 법체계 연구 (신창섭), ⑦ 호혜와 협동의 한국사회 조사 (임동균), ⑧ 한국신협의 어제와 오늘 그리고 미래 비전 모델 (이현배).

수강생들은 학습 진도표에 따라 매 주 지정된 주요논문들과 학술저서의 chapters을 읽고 논평문(Response papers)을 작성하여 수업 시작 전에 온라인 CAFE에 탑재하여 학생 상호간의 토론뿐 아니라 교수-학생간의 토론을 유도하여 수업시간의 시간적 제한, 공간적 제한을 보완하여 수업 효과 및 연구효과 향상을 도모하였다. 수업 카폐에는 학생들의 논평문, 학생들의 개별연구논문 계획서, 연구논문의 중간 발표문, 기말 논문, 학술답사 자료 등을 탑재하여 활발한 수업이 되도록 하였다.

온라인 수업의 카페에 대해 외부 전문가들은 효율적 학습방법으로 그 가치를 높이 평가하였다(https://m.cafe.daum.net/cooperation-study). 학생들은 논평문 작성, 특강 참여, 현지답사 등을 통해 발전시킨 문제의식으로 토대로 각자의 관심을 결부시켜 구체적인 연구를 진행하였으며, 여러 차례의 발표회와 토론회를 통해 그 과정과 결과를 공유하고 협동적으로 발전시켰다.

또한 영어 및 불어권의 Reciprocity 관련 핵심논문들을 묶어 번역하였다. 인류학과 사회학의 reciprocity/cooperation 에 대한 고전적 논문들을 엄선하여 한국어로 번역하여 출판함으로써 학계의 reciprocity에 대한 폭넓은 이해와 연구에 기여할 것이다. 현재 번역은 초벌로 완성되어 있는데 향후 연구책임자가 집중 검토하여 오역수정, 용어,문체 수정 등을 진행하고 해당 학술지로부터 판권을 구입한 뒤 출판할 것인데 출판되면 본 도서는 학부, 대학원 등의 교재로도 활용될 것이다.

이 보고서는 그렇게 이루어진 과정의 결과와 성과들을 모아 정리한 것이다. 하지만 본 과정에서 시작된 문제의식과 연구관심들은 한 학기에 국한되지 않고 지속적으로 이어지며 발전해나갈 것이다.
