Introduction

The history of education in Korea is a very important blueprint with which to understand the nation's culture and history. Education in Korea has been set by the national culture, but at the same time it has exerted an influence on that culture. This book, therefore, examines the diverse aspects of education in Korea and the contributions of education to the development of the nation from the perspective of its long history.
